Born and raised in suburban Detroit, Jason spent six years growing up in Shanghai, China. A creative at heart, he grew up painting landscapes, drawing cities, and making short films until college, where he began pursuing creative work professionally. Now as a practicing designer, Jason's work is relevant, distinctive, and simple. He believes that the pressing social issues of our time can, and must be addressed creatively.
Outside of work, Jason pursues an array of hobbies and interests. He's played basketball since grade school and enjoys watching the NBA, particularly Damian Lillard and the Portland Trailblazers. Jason also listens to hip hop, especially his two favorite artists, Mac Miller and Anderson .Paak. A frequent moviegoer, he watches everything from sci-fi films such as Inception and Star Trek, to social thrillers such as Get Out and Parasite. An avid reader of the NYTimes, Time, Dezeen, and Curbed, Jason enjoys conversations about politics, art, cities, and spirituality.
